When you look at the People of Diving logo, you’re seeing more than just an image. You’re seeing our values, our vision, and the very heart of what we do.
At its centre is the Orca — a symbol of strength, community, and deep-rooted care. These are the qualities that define our club and drive us forward every single day
POD—A Family for Life
A ‘pod’ is the name for a family of orcas that stays closely bonded for a lifetime. This sense of togetherness is exactly what we stand for. People of Diving is a place of belonging, a place of trust, and a place where we always have each other’s backs.
Finding inclusion beneath the surface
At the core of our mission are people living with emotional or physical scars — particularly our veterans. Scuba diving offers them a completely new perspective. It helps rebuild trust in their own bodies and provides a safe haven where words aren’t needed — in a world where words often aren’t enough.
A symbol with a soul
Our logo was specially designed by a member of the Canadian First Nations. In their culture, the Orca is far more than just an animal; it is a spiritual guardian of the oceans, representing family, community, and guidance.
In many of their stories, the Orca protects lost souls and guides them safely through the deep.
