Our Story
Supporting our Veterans
We place a special focus on veterans of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) who have been injured or scarred during their service. For many, the mission doesn’t simply end when they return home; physical or emotional wounds often stay with them for a lifetime. At People of Diving, we want to offer these men and women a safe haven — both underwater and on dry land. A place to recharge, rebuild trust, and find their place in a strong, supportive community once again.
Diving as a fresh start
The weightlessness of the water is incredibly freeing — not just for the body, but for the soul too. Focusing on your breathing and movement, and completely switching off from the noise of everyday life, makes diving a unique way to find balance. This is especially true for those who have faced extreme pressures during their deployment.
We work closely with the German Armed Forces Sports School (Bundeswehr Sportschule Warendorf), the Tauchsportzentrum Niederrhein, and world-renowned partners like Scuba Schools International and Mares. This ensures our members receive professional support, personal encouragement, and training at the very highest level.
Strong Together— through participation and community
People of Diving is more than just a sports club. It’s a movement that shows what’s possible when people look out for one another. We believe in the power of community and the strength that comes from meeting as equals — regardless of physical ability.
In diving, there are no barriers — only challenges that we tackle together.
